1Who we are
Kre8ivHosting, LLC ("Kre8ivHosting", "we", "us") provides managed hosting, domains and related services. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, use the client area, or buy and use our Services. It works together with our Terms of Service.
2Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- From you: your name, business name, email, phone number, billing address, account users and contacts, and anything you send us in support tickets, chat or email.
- When you pay: billing history and a payment token from our processor. Card numbers go directly to the processor and are not stored on our servers.
- Automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, login times, and server and security logs from the services you use.
If you register a domain, registries require us to collect and pass on the registrant's contact details.
3How we use it
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account, and provide the Services you order.
- Process payments, send invoices and renewal notices, and prevent fraud.
- Answer support requests and tell you about maintenance, incidents and security issues.
- Protect our network, our customers and the public from abuse and attacks.
- Improve our website and Services.
- Send product news, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We rely on these reasons where the law requires one: to perform our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a secure service, your consent, and our legal obligations.
4Data you host with us
The websites, databases, files and email you host with us belong to you. For that data, you decide what is collected and why, and we act as your service provider.
Our engineers access hosted data only to provide the Services, such as running backups, restoring a site, migrating it or fixing a problem you reported. We also access it when needed to investigate abuse or security incidents, or when the law requires it. If your site collects visitors' personal information, you are responsible for your own privacy notice.
7How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. After you close it, we keep billing and tax records for as long as the law requires, typically seven years, and delete or anonymize the rest within a reasonable time. Logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Backups of hosted data are deleted on the schedule described in our Terms of Service.
8Security
We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, two-factor authentication for staff, monitoring and regular patching. You can turn on two-factor authentication for your own account. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
9Your choices and rights
You can update most account details in the client area. You can also ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law.
- Stop sending you marketing email.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR may give you further rights, including the right to appeal a decision about your request. Email [email protected] to make a request. We will verify your identity and respond within the time the law allows. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
10Children
Our Services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11Where data is stored
Kre8ivHosting is based in the United States, and our primary infrastructure is in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and email you before any material change takes effect.
